Starting a new business is an incredibly exciting but sometimes challenging time and being able to get advice from experts is priceless. We recently had the pleasure of helping one such business on their new path, which is immensely satisfying. Phil from the colloidal silver brand Emias, gives us some straight-talking words about their label experience.
Q&A with Emias Therapeutics
Tell us a bit about Emias, and how the business came about.
It was through various personal health issues and experiences that led us to this amazing product through researching for healthier and more natural remedies after feeling ‘failed by conventional medicine’. Colloidal silver quickly became the family ‘go-to’ to treat everything from eye infections, skin infections, to cleansing the kid’s scratches and grazes. We tried various brands, then one day just decided to produce for ourselves. It wasn’t long before family and friends started asking us to produce for them as they had heard of its amazing natural properties and benefits.
Fast-forward over a decade of collaboration with biology, chemistry and scientific analysis experts, and producing and refining our production processes, we realised in our quest to produce a colloidal silver that we could whole-heartedly trust with our own family and friends… there was a need on the market for an exceptional high quality and pure product.
From the quality of our source materials (Certified UK Royal Mint 999.9 Fine silver - the purest silver available, and two-stage medical grade steam distilled water), combined with the technical production process we have refined over many years, we genuinely believe we have the purest quality colloidal silver product on the market.
It was when we decided to produce commercially that we realised we needed… professional looking product labels!
How did you initially find inkREADible and what made you contact us?
As our mission is to produce the highest quality colloidal silver available on the market, it was vitally important for us to have the ability to convey our quality through our product marketing labelling and packaging. Ideally, being a British company, we wanted a labelling partner that was also UK-based, but we had the assumption this would be an unfeasibly more expensive option.
We contacted 10 label suppliers (based in the UK and abroad) to provide prospective costings for our initial order. We hadn’t heard of inkREADible before, but we are really thankful they came up in our online search.
Of the replies we received back, it was evident there was a ‘middle band’ in terms of competitive pricing, which inkREADible fit into. We discounted the cheapest and overtly more expensive responses, then began to focus on quality of communications and our own background research into the suppliers (customer reviews and company registration/parent company location).
In honesty (and this really surprised us), many of the suppliers based abroad did not have particularly positive online reviews, with issues ranging from poor quality end product, to not being contactable if there were issues. Inadvertently, the results of this research turned out to be a significant factor in deciding which label supplier to choose.
Apart from having outstanding customer reviews, it was the pragmatic, non sales-driven and customer-needs focused communications from inkREADible which ultimately led us to choosing them as our partner. They are a UK company, fully verifiable, quality focused… and they are very competitively priced. In the end, there wasn’t much of a decision to make… inkREADible ticked every box.
As a new business, how did you find the process of ordering labels and how did inkREADible fit with your requirements?
As a new business, we were in unfamiliar territory when it came to labels. We needed labels that would have a professional, quality look and feel, and importantly would not spoil in case of accidental liquid content spills.
Having created the labels ‘in-house’… through many trial/error/iterations… it was amazing to watch our initial concept on the laptop turn into the finished product on our bottles. Linda at inkREADible helped us through the entire process, from choosing the most cost-effective label sizes, best paper and coating options, as well determining labelling machine orientation. Their production process was communicative from start to finish, including the organisation of digital and physical proofs prior to committing to the first order. Delivery was prompt and reorders followed the same way… professional, efficient and friendly!
What has the feedback been like on your new labels?
Firstly, we love our labels… we really do! They look fantastic and really fit the branding and image we wanted to achieve, but more importantly, our customers and resellers love them too. They look the part and really help convey the sense of quality we aim for… which is the most important focus of our company, product and end-user experience.
Any plans for the future you would like to share?
Aside from wanting to produce the purest quality colloidal silver available, we have a wider range of high quality natural health products which we will be unveiling within the EMIAS Therapeutics brand over the coming months. This will mean more products… and of course, more labels.
