What are the legal requirements for labelling gin in the UK?
The labelling requirements for labelling gin produced and sold within the UK are found in the Spirit Drinks Regulations 2008. The regulations provide clarification in relation to the labelling of gin and other spirits which has at least 15% alcohol by volume.
What do I need to Include on my gin labels?
There are certain elements that should be listed on your gin labels, such as:
Name and address of the bottler
Country of origin
Nominal volume in litres, centilitres or millilitres
The alcohol strength should be shown by volume
Allergy declarations
Maturation period
